Hi, I’m Boka, the baker behind Boka Bakes.

My love for food began in my grandmother’s kitchen, where I learned that baking is not just about recipes, but about care, patience, and love. That same passion led me to study dietetics and nutrition, shaping the way I approach food today—with a deep respect for quality ingredients and how they nourish us.

Today, I bring that philosophy into everything I make. Boka Bakes is a micro bakery in Amsterdam, inspired by the rich baking traditions of the Balkans—where food is made slowly, generously, and always meant to be shared. Every pastry is made by hand, in small batches—never mass-produced, always prepared with the same care as it would be at home.

My baking is rooted in the flavors I grew up with—simple ingredients like wheat, walnuts, and fruit, turned into something comforting and deeply familiar. For me, food is about more than taste. It’s about warmth, generosity, and creating something that makes people feel at home.
